Dr David O’Brien – Consultant Interventional Cardiologist speaks to us.

Dr David O’Brien – Consultant Interventional Cardiologist ULHT & Clinical Director Lincolnshire Health Centre.

David completed general cardiology and interventional cardiology training in both the UK and Canada, before returning to work as a full-time consultant interventional cardiologist in the UK.

He has held numerous management positions within the NHS locally, including those of Clinical Lead and Clinical Director for Cardiology at ULHT. He was appointed Clinical Associate professor in Medical Education at the University of Nottingham in 2020 and is currently the Director of Admissions for the Lincoln Medical School.

He divides his time between his clinical practice and work for the University of Nottingham and Lincoln Medical School pursuing his passion for medical education and training.

Recently taken the role of Clinical Director for Pan Trust Cardiology and Cardiac Physiology to help develop the cardiology service across all main hospital sites of ULHT.
